From an initial client base of four local Councils - Chinchilla, Murilla, Taroom and Bendemere Shires - Brandon & Associates have since established long term relationships with a large number of other councils, and has maintained these relationships through the 2008 Local Government Amalgamations. 

Today, we proudly provide ongoing consulting services to Dalby Regional Council, Banana Shire Council, Bulloo Shire Council, Roma Regional Council, Goondiwindi Regional Council, Central Highlands Regional Council, Balonne and Paroo Shire Councils on a needs basis.

Having serviced Local Government for over 50 years, we are aptly equipped to offer a complete range of local government engineering services. In addition to all our standard services, we can perform the following functions including:

Planning and Administration

  • General management of Council works department (roads, water, sewerage, parks & gardens, cemeteries, sporting facilities, depots, streetscapes) 
  • Preparation of annual works programs and budgets for Council operations (capital works and maintenance)
  • Bridge replacement programs
  • Bitumen reseal programs
  • Plant replacement programs (including calling and evaluation of tenders)
  • Planning reports for infrastructure projects
  • Review of development applications and preparation of recommendations of conditions to be imposed

Construction

  • Project management and administration of capital works
  • Preparation of tender submissions for state funded roadworks projects and subsequent negotiation
  • Coordination of council construction and maintenance crews including project scheduling & prioritisation
